WIHL 1976 #2.  Nelson Maple Leafs 2 at Trail Smoke Eaters 5. This game was all Trail. The Smokies put five past Mason before a packed Cominco Arena to win this one 5-2.  Brian Debiasio led the Trail attack with a goal and an assist. Lyman Haakstad also chipped in the same. Tough guy Kenny Uzeloc had two assists.

This was a very physical affair as Trail finished with just 2 stamina and Nelson 6 in this hard hitting affair. Most of the offense came on the powerplay as Cranbrook scored all three of their goals with the extra man.
